*****OTHER INFO*****
Found list: Via Kevmo's old site (I believe---it was so long ago)

Favorite Team: Tampa Bay Storm

Number of lists subscribed to: AFL list (obvious), NPSL Mailing List.

Other interests: Most sports, reading magazines (sports and news), reading newspapers, both on paper and on the Internet (I read sports sections from the St. Pete Times, Washington Post, Tampa Tribune, Richmond Times-Dispatch, Orlando Sentinel, and the Raleigh News & Observer regularly).

Favorite Sports Teams: Tampa Bay Bucs and Washington Redskins (NFL) Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL) Atlanta Braves (MLB) Chicago Bulls (NBA) St. Louis Ambush (NPSL)

What I like most about the AFL: The devotion to the fans, the utter intensity of the game itself, the friendliness of the players and coaches, the willingness of most players to sign autographs and make time for kids.

What I dislike most about the AFL: Absentee ownership, complacency on the part of some teams (I can think of one here in the Tampa Bay area), our treatment from ESPN, media relations people who forget to FAX full stat books even though both our site and the Storm office have specifically asked for them to be sent to us. What I like most about the AFL list: Intelligent discussion of teams and league matters with fans who care as passionately about this sport as I do; hopefully, in the future, the chance to meet some more of these fans in person!

What I dislike most about the AFL list: Members who send needless, random criticism and ranting to the list, and members who state an opinion and do not even attempt to back it up with facts.

AFL Goals: To be commissioner (someday), but for now, to do my part ---small as it may be---to help make this sport and league into one that may not be one of the "Big Four" but will command respect and will always be affordable for families and to people who don't happen to be in the upper classes of society.

Favorite AFL Team: Milwaukee Mustangs Favorite NFL Team: Judging from where I live, the answer should be obvious :>

First Experience with AFL: Saw it from the very beginning on ESPN when I was in High School. First game I saw in person was the home opener for Mustangs first season.

Found list: I think it was thru Kevmo's early site

What I like about the list: News about the league is scarce here (even for the Mustangs), on the list I can get info from all over. Interesting discussion about the league & it's future.

What I don't like: Some subjects that get beaten to death (net tension, kicks over nets, curved end zones, etc). Bickering in the "We rule, you suck!" form.

Mailing lists subscribed to: counting this one, 6

AFL goals: To attend an ArenaBowl in person, hopefully in Milwaukee!

Other Interests: GB Packers, Vancouver Canucks & the NHL as a whole, record collecting (early 80's to present- for groups like U2, Curve, Cranes, Sisters of Mercy, the Alarm, etc.), Paintball sports, Volkswagon Karmann-Ghias, fishing

I heard about the Charlotte Rage coming from the local paper. At that time the team had no name so I entered the name the team and choose the colors contest. I sent a deposit on season tix even though I was currently out of work. I had three great seasons of watching the Rage, then the season ticket woes hit, which I will spare y'all the details. All in all, I missed one Rage in 5 years. I had all sorts of Rage stuff, but this season I wore none of it and actually wore some of the oppositions' hats to games this year.

My sports interests are toward the minor Major leagues now. I was a season ticket holder for the Rage, Cobras, and Vipers, all are which now defunct. I still follow the MILL and CISL, and will continue to follow the AFL. I collect hats of strange or different logo'ed teams and tried to buy all Arena hats I could. I did pretty good till I got to the Fighting Pike who made it impossible for me to buy one.

Some comments on the league from my prospective: Who came up with these new team names?? Boorrrrriinnnngggggg! Too bad the Red Dogs sold out to a beer company. Are THEY targeting children? Where is our oh-so-caring government on this? I probably will not purchase a Red Dogs hat; I can't support beer companies. Does the league think sticking a team in NY gonna help it any? I don't think so. The only new team that has a chance is the Portland Forest Dragons. The other three will vanish in 3 or less years. The league has got to do a better job making its merchandise available. Ordering from teams has been sometimes good (Tampa Bay, Iowa), and sometimes bad (Florida, Connecticut, MInnesota). Finally, more coverage! More live games! More media hype! That's all for now. For those with teams, enjoy this year! Peppy

RELIGION: Neo-Pagan/Wiccan.

This is a good idea, I see all of your names often, but really didn't know too much about you. Here is some tidbits about me:

Sports Interest: Most team sports and International events. I have season tickets for the AFL Rattlers, the IHL Roadrunners and will have season tickets for the MLB Diamondbacks in 1998 and WNBA team in Phoenix in 1997.

The first Rattlers season, my mother and I attended the last game of the season as a lark: we were totally hooked! The second season, we purchased 2 season tickets in one of the upper sections but purchased additional tickets in the same section to take friends and family. The third season, we purchased 4 season tickets in section 106 (one of the lower corners) for me, my sister, her husband and my mother. The fourth season, we purchased 6 season tickets (same section) and added my nephew and we all got to take one guest to a home game with the extra seat. Last season, we kept the same number of tickets, but friends we had previously taken to games purchased 4 season tickets in a different section of the SnakePit. This next season, we'll have 8 season tickets in the same section and another set of friends will purchase season tickets.

>From that first game, going as a lark, we've gotten a total of 14 folks hooked on ArenaBall who will all have season tickets. I've gone to every home game since the last game of the first season. I've also gone to one away game for the last three seasons (Las Vegas in 1993 and 1994, Anaheim in 1995) and am making plans for a road trip to San Jose this next season. I am a fan of the Arena league, and want to see the entire league do well and endure.

Favorite Team: Nashville Kats

FOUND AFL LIST: On the Kats Fan home page What I like about ArenaBall: The pace and excitement of the game, the entertaining presentation, the great indoors in Summer, and the Stray Cat cheerleaders.

What I like about the list: About the only info I can find on ArenaBall. At the start of the year the local rags had good coverage but when the Oilers started camp, there was nothing except game day and the day after. I am learning a lot about other teams, the rules, and the leagues history from some listers that appear to be decent folks.

Other lists: two baseball lists Other Teams I follow: Lifelong Braves Fan, Tennessee Vols (my college), Tennesse Oilers (replaced the Raiders), NASCAR (Sterling Marlin's from my childhood hometown), Florida Marlins (I go to their spring training every year), and Vanderbilt (only cause my Dad played there)

Other Interests: Family, Golf, Computers, Softball, DBS TV, Movies

Notes: Probably the newest ArenaBall fan on the list. I had seen it on TV over the years and was a casual observer (TV didn't do it justice). I took my 5 year old son to the Kats 2nd game and it actually held his attention and completely floored me as to how much fun it was. We've been to every game since and are on the 5th row for Sunday's playoff game. We went to see the Braves-Dodgers game a few weeks ago and he and I talked about how much we would rather be inside watching the Kats than watching the Braves in 95 degree heat. I would have to say Baseball is still my favorite sport but ArenaBall's getting close. GO KATS !!!!!!!

! WARNING ! Far more than you'd ever care to know... Daughter, Monica, 21, on her own (former HS honor student, cheerleader captain). Son, Joshua, 17 (honor student, football & weight lifting team, part-time job). Twins, Chris & Leslie, 9 (brother's biological children. Been caring for them since 5 mos. old. Son and daughter to us, now) Also, nephew Tony Perez, 18 (trouble with the step-dad). Football enthusiasm started early, but open-heart surgery at 12 short- circuited fulfillment of desire. Have held physically-intensive jobs all my life (millwright/industrial, construction, landscape maintenance and floor- covering) with no apparent long-term effects (knock on wood!). Guess I could've been a player, after all...consarn it! Guitarist-singer-songwriter for a LONG time, but there are not many houseband (i.e.: steady) gigs in O'do. Familial responsibilities, preclude any traveling, at this time, where the real money is (been there-done that). Locals can see me perform with the bar band, "Face4Radio" (check Buzz or Jam magazine for a date and location near you. Recently, opened for Deep Purple at the House of Blues, Downtown Disney). Our lead singer, Jill Towers, is the host of Forbidden Records soon-to-be-nationally-syndicated radio show, "Global Music Search". Check out their website at www.GlobalMusicSearch.com

Sports-wise, I've always thought O'do has been a bastard step-child of professional sports. I am not a big round ball enthusiast (sorry, Magic...), but I've tried to follow and support whatever was going on football-wise (Florida Blazers, Orlando Americans, the USFL Renegades [ONE YEAR!!!! Thanks, Trump-face! Hell, no, I ain't fergettin'!], the lime green [blecchhh!] WLAF Thunder and now it looks like we've got a lot to cheer about in the UCF Golden Knights [in '97 almost upset Nebraska in their house, stayed close with SEC opponents {except Auburn} and you have to admire our Heisman-hopeful Cube-E, Dante Culpepper!]). I believed, deeply, that the USFL and spring-time football would succeed given the smaller, hungry venues (Memphis, Birmingham, San Antonio, Orlando, etc.) and the distance, calender-wise, from college & NFL schedules. Resistant to ArenaBall at first ("They do what?" "Where??" " With nets???" "And they call it Football???????"), a very close friend of mine, a gigantic Bucs fan, who has since passed on from cancer, convinced me to give it a try. That was back in 1990 and I have been a Predatory FAN ever since. Regrettably, being the "weekend" musician and priorities being what they are, needing the extra income, I have not been able to attend every home game (Besides, how do you get an elephant out of a theatre?... You can't! It's in his blood!), BUT IT HASN"T MADE ME ANY LESS OF A FAN!! I LOVE ArenaBall, plain and simple.

The ArenaBall list is the only one I subscribe and contribute to. No matter how I might appear to come off, I'm having a blast! The list is enthusiastic, entertaining, engaging and intelligent. Just like the sport itself...

FAVORITE TEAM: Rattlers Favorite NCAA Team: ASU Sun Devils Favorite NHL Team: Phoenix Coyotes Favorite NBA Team: Phoenix Suns Favorite NFL Team: Arizona Cardinals

I learned about the AFL before the Rattlers were in town. I saw a game on TV, think it was Detroit and Chicago, and it looked like a lot of fun. When I heard that Arizona was getting a team I had to get tickets. My husband and I were one of the first people to get tickets. We sit on the 25 yard line 8 rows behind the Rattlers bench.

My son, Michael, was rockin and rollin at the Rattler games before he was even born. When I was pregnant he would kick like crazy throughout the game. He turned 3 years old today and he is definately an AFL fan for life. He can give you the names of several of the players. And he can pronounce Schexnayder better than the announcers can. His favorite player is Sherdrick Bonner. He thinks our living room is a football field. He likes to pretend to be Bonner while throwing touchdown passes to Shakes and Cooper (played by My husband and I).

My favorite thing about the AFL is the closeness to the players and all the touchdowns. What other football game can you go to where the players stay after the game to sign autographs and give away their gloves and sweat bands.

What I dislike about the AFL: Nothing. I do dislike the lack of media coverage and the lack of respect. I hate it when people call it a trash sport.

FAVORITE TEAM: Rattlers

My wife's (Bonnie) bio was posted earlier in the week ... a lot of it also applies to me, but here's some other info...

Last Movie Seen: Men In Black (ack. woof. Go figure, made more money than Kevin Garnett turned down, so what do I know?) Last Movie Seen I Liked (In Theater): Face Off Last Rental I Liked: Mars Attacks! Last Book Read: The Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan Last Vacation: Newport Beach, CA (would make a great site for an AFL winter get together... :) )

Arena Football League: I appreciate the efforts of all the players and coaches (yeah, and the refs too!) involved in the AFL. I want the Rattlers to win of course, but recognise they exist in a league, ridiculed by many, ignored by even more, but more entertaining to me than the other forms of football I also enjoy. So I want to see the Rattlers win it all, and see everyone else do well, as well.

What I like about the game: At the game, every seat is close (even the view obstructed ones! ;) ) The immediacy of the game and the intensity of the action is greater than other versions of the game. This has a great appeal for me. I miss playing (recreationally only) and feel more into the action at Arena games.

TAFN (aren't acronyms great?)

What I dislike about the AFL: low quality of officating, lack of media coverage, and the way teams come and go within a year or two (but I guess the league can't do much about this situation right now)

What I like about the AFL list : All the great ideas the fans can come up with (the league should look at this and use some of those ideas) and the up-to-date info

Milw Mustangs season tickets, midfield, about 9th row - eat your hearts out ;P - Huge Packer fan - Made it to 14 games in the last three years (most at Lambeau, including their route of San Fran on Saturday! Also totally enjoyed watching the criminals from Dallas get their butts kicked by Carolina.) Biggest problem with going to Lambeau is, of course, getting tickets. - Faithful Mustangs fan - Get to almost every game. Take customers, although my wife always complains that she wants to go. We always join some of the players and the cheerleaders after each game at Luke's Sports Spectacular.

- Non-football hobbies - (1) Pilot and aircraft owner (great for going to games...). (2) Pool player (how much?).
